Optical Prism은 빛의 진행 방향을 지정된 각도로 바꾸는 데 사용됩니다. Optical Prism은 ray deviation 또는 이미지 방향 조절용으로 아주 적합합니다. Optical Prism의 디자인에 따라 빛의 반응 형태가 달라집니다. 빛이 Optical Prism에 진입할 때 빛은 프리즘을 탈출하기 전에 한 개의 면 또는 여러 개의 면에서 반사되거나 substrate을 통과하면서 굴절됩니다. 예를 들어, 빛이 right angle prism에 들어오면 한 개의 면에서 반사되어 90° 각도로 꺽입니다. 하지만 빛이 wedge prism에 들어올 때는 substrate 두께의 변화로 인해 빛이 굴절되며 편향됩니다. Edmund Optics는 다양한 디자인, substrate 또는 코팅 옵션이 적용된 폭 넓은 범위의 Optical Prism을 공급합니다. 디자인에는 Right Angle, Amici, Penta, Schmidt, Wedge, Anamorphic, Equilateral, Dove 또는 Rhomboid prism과 더불어 Corner Cube Retroreflector 또는 Light Pipe Homogenizing Rod가 있습니다. AR 코팅에는 MgF2, UV-VIS, UV-AR, VIS 0°, VIS-NIR 또는 여러 가지 laser line 옵션이 포함됩니다.
